The indescribable joy of seeing something come to life was somewhat unique to my beginner years. As I slowly acquired the skills and made animation my career, that sheer wonderment has been replaced with a warm familiarity and bitter-sweetness.

The only comparable 'beginner joy' was when I first learnt Maya expressions to do automative animation. The relationship between animation and algorithms has always fascinated me greatly since then.
